Tactical Mount for LITELOK X3

Deal price$24.99

Product Details

We talk with riders all the time and by far the biggest request for X3 is for a bike mount. “I have the world’s toughest lock but how do I carry it?”

Well the perfect mounting solution is finally here:

Designed from scratch and tested to destruction, the X3 Tactical Mount is unlike any other mount. So what makes it different:

  1. X3TM allows you to lock your X3 into position from one side of the frame to the other (lock) before rotating it into the final cradle to secure it into the frame (load). The fact that it’s locked in and then loaded for riding gives you two points of security. Hence ‘locked and loaded’.
  2. The body of the X3TM is made from high strength glass reinforced polymer – to ensure that the mount is robust and can take the knocks and bashes which might come its way.
  3. The body of the mount meets your bike frame via a rubber frame protector with rubber strips fitting under the clips. This ensures grip but also protects your beautiful bike’s paintwork.
  4. The two frame mount clips allow progressive tightening to ensure that your mount is held in place as you go over any potholes or kerbs. Keep checking those Allen screws periodically to ensure trouble free operation. You will need a 5mm Allen key.

We think  that the X3 Tactical Mount's solid and reliable design perfectly complements the X3 lock and ensures that it stays firmly in place, giving you peace of mind on every journey.

A tough mount for the world’s toughest lock.

The Tactical Mount for LITELOK X3 is Made In Britain.

Tight fit; Only fits certain frames

This is a well-designed mount but it only mounts to certain frames. There was no sensible way to attach it to my Stromer but it probably works fine on many bikes. Also, more a plus than a minus, the lock locks to the mount, so you'll need the key to get it on and off the mount. Note that it's a fairly snug fit to get the lock on the mount. This presumably reduces rattling when riding. So, if it'll fit on your bike, I'd say, get it. But make sure it will because return shipping (which you'll pay) is more than the cost of the item.

    Great - solid and effective.

I was leaving my X3 at home before the mount as. my panniers were struggling. The mount has changed that and enabled me to use two D locks on my bike easily with maximum peace of mind. The mount was easy to put on and it is definitely easy to use. Yes, the lock is tight to get in, but if it wasn't the lock would rattle or move around. I prefer the lock to my other 'angle grinder restistant' lock a DX1000 as it is smaller, has the mount and doesn't rattle unlike the Hiplok ones.

A solid mount for a solid lock and good value.

Good lock holder for a very reasonable price but fidly.

For the price one cannot complain as it does the job without damaging the bike. The fact that it is not secured with bolts etc is a plus but also a minus as everytime you put the lock in/take the lock out , the holder almost comes out. All in all happy with it as the litelok x3 is a pain to carry but am sure those engineers at Litelok can improve it!

Great if it will work for you

Really impressed by the fit and finish of this. Strong bolts and heavy plastic really seem secure for a heavy lock.

Unfortunately, for me, it didn’t work out. No problem with the mount, it’s just that modern MTBs and e-MTBs have done away with space inside the frame. Now that’s only a road bike thing. Our triangles are tightly packed, and often you can’t even get a water bottle in there, let alone a giant lock like this. For a race or urban bike, it’d be great. But there’s no viable way to mount it on my bike without it slapping the frame or getting in the way of my legs - just a MTB thing.

Decent mount for a heavy lock

I think it's pretty good and does the job well. I like not having to strap my lock to my bike rack or carry it in a pannier. I would have given it five stars but for an ergonomic design detail that would have been nice to have... I carry my bike up and down my basement steps daily by grabbing the top tube and lifting it onto my shoulder. My grip is within a few inches of the seat tube. The square underside profile of the mount makes my grip looser and the bike more unwieldy so it makes this task harder. A curved underside profile would help. I considered alternative placements and this placement (see pic) caused the fewest problems. It's too bad that this mount has to be so big because I would have liked to put it on the seat tube—but that would have interfered with the most secure way I lock my bike up (by running the lock through the back tire, seat tube, and bike rack). I love how tightly the lock fits in the mount—no wiggling at all—but the protective rubber straps that protect the bike finish from the tightening straps are becoming misaligned because of the force I have to apply when placing/shoving the lock into the mount. (I'll try tightening up the straps some more.) Maybe LITELOK will keep working on a mount that will work with the attachment points/screws that seem standard on bike frames and we can avoid the clunky look of the fastening straps in a future redesign. About the install video, it would be helpful if the camera paused longer before cutting away to the…

    Thanks Rebekah!
We value you your feedback and currently working on providing further instructions.
Our engineers have been passed on your feedback relating to the rubber straps. You should be able to remove the mount without it causing damage to the frame mount clips.
