Small price for big peace of mind
Coming in a really useful pouch, the X1 is fantastic. Fits my Maeving RM1S rear wheel perfectly (as well as in the storage tank when not in use). The knowledge that it'd take any nefarious individual a significant amount of time and effort to even get close to stealing my beloved bike is enormous comfort which is an incredible thing from such a small and reasonably priced package.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can X1 be cut with an angle grinder?
Unfortunately, all locks can be cut with the right tools and enough time. The exact time it takes depends on a number of factors like the power of the angle grinder, the type of discs used and the skill of the user. During our own and independent tests we found that X1 is at least 5 times more angle grinder resistant than the current leading U-lock as well as needing multiple discs to cut it.
How much does LITELOK X1 weigh?
LITELOK X1 weighs approximately 1.7kgs or 3.7lbs.
What's the difference between X1 Bike and X1 Moto?
There is no difference between the Bike and Moto versions. They are exactly the same locks. The reason why we differentiate them is to show how X1 can be used as an effective security device for all types of bicycles and motorcycles.
What's the difference between X1 and X3?
LITELOK X1 and X3 are both highly resistant to angle grinder cuts. This resistance comes from the layers of Barronium® that each lock features. X3 uses a higher amount of Barronium® meaning it has a higher resistance to angle grinder cuts than X1. X1 has at least 5 times the resistance to angle grinder cuts compared to the best selling U-locks whereas X3 has at least 20 times the resistance.
What is the locking circumference of LITELOK X1?
LITELOK X1 has a full-sized locking circumference of approximately 101 x 196mm meaning you can lock more bikes in more places than other armoured u-locks.
Has LITELOK X1 been independently tested?
Yes, it has been thoroughly tested by independent testing bodies Sold Secure and ART. Both locks achieve Sold Secure Powered Cycle and Bicycle Diamond levels (the highest ratings available) and ART4.
(Note: Sold Secure is owned and administered by the Master Locksmiths Association (a not-for-profit trade association) and works from purpose built laboratories in the UK.

Our founder and CEO, Professor Neil Barron, supported by Innovate UK, worked closely with some of the world’s leading material scientists for over 5 years to develop Barronium®, our ground breaking angle grinder resistant technology.
What is LITELOK X1 made from?
LITELOK X1 is built with Barronium®, a patent-pending anti-angle grinder material that is applied as a permanently fused composite armour, providing maximum cut resistance and protection from angle grinder attacks. The Barronium® layer repels angle grinder discs.
The X range comprises of three layers of protection:
1. A fine-grain, hardened high-tensile steel core providing inner strength against multiple tool attacks
2. Barronium™ anti-angle grinder armour, permanently fused to the core to repel angle grinder discs
3. A plant-based eco-rubber outer layer is soft to touch, so it won't damage your frame.
What is the warranty?
LITELOK X1 is sold with a 3 year warranty to provide peace of mind and covers mechanical or operational faults through normal usage. The warranty does not cover aesthetic wear and tear. It is important to register your lock and keys with us so that in the event that you lose your keys, replacements can be ordered.

Quick review of the X1, great lock, only minor complaint is some surface level wear & tear but nothing that impacts the functionality. A good tool to increase security on bike with other layers of security. Easy to carry in a backpack or bike bag.

The reviews and videos online assure me that this is one proper tough lock. I hope it being there has an angle grinder deterrent effect. Shame it is not just slightly wider so it would go around the motorbike wheel rim rather than two spokes (Versys 650 - so not an unusually wide bike wheel). Not had it long but the white reflective transfers are also sliding about ... possibly due to the very hot weather recently. I didn't buy the lock for it's looks though so don't mind too much. Lock feels sturdy as you'd expect. I like that it's made in Britain.

The litelok x1 is a very impressive lock that fits easily through the wheel and front discs of a motorcycle.
The quality is excellent and only weighing 1.7 kgs it is easy to carry on your bike . Due to touring Europe I purchased two locks one for the front wheel and one for the back. Leaving my motorcycle now with the litelok 1 fitted to the bike im confident with this security.

Originally bought as I do a lot of touring on my FJR Yamaha, this isn’t overly heavy and provides a good visual deterrent , slots easily over the alloy spoked wheels on this bike and my old Triumph speed triple which can’t take a disc lock , it certainly gives me a bit extra piece of mind when the bikes are parked away from home and in the garage

Bought this in preparation for the ABR festival and being paranoid about leaving the bike on its own for long periods of time, also in preparation for various tours planned in 2025 / 26 . Delivery was next day (I did pay the extra) and packaging was high end. The lock comes with a really nice storage pouch and is "weighty" enough to give confidence in it performance but not to big to sit in my back box. I do like the rubber protection to stop it scratching any paint or alloy wheels, Still undecided as to weather i should have gone for the bigger one (X2 i think) but this does go around the swing arm of my BMW GS so not wholly reliant on just the spokes - see my video. All in all super impressed, so with this on the back wheel through the swing arm and a disc lock on the front I'm pretty comfortable.

Feels like a decent bit of kit!!! Plenty big enough to go through the disc and spokes of my Scramber 400x. Hopefully it never needs to be tested, but really pleased with it!
