Top Quality Motorcycle U-Lock
Super beefy U-lock with just large enough gap to fit on the front wheel of my Ninja 400, providing extra security. It is dense, but not too heavy to carry on the go. The lock mechanism is smooth, but getting the key in the right position can be tricky with one hand.

Reflective Strips

Can X3 be cut with an angle grinder?
Unfortunately, all locks can be cut with the right tools and enough time. The exact time it takes depends on a number of factors like the power of the angle grinder, the type of discs used and the skill of the user. During our own and independent tests we found that X3 is at least 20 times more angle grinder resistant than the current leading d-lock as well as needing multiple discs and batteries to cut it.
How much does LITELOK X3 weigh?
LITELOK X3 weighs approximately 2.1kgs or 4.6lbs.
What's the difference between X3 Bike and X3 Moto?
There is no difference between the Bike and Moto versions. They are exactly the same locks. The reason why we differentiate them is to show how X3 can be used as an effective security device for all types of bicycles and motorcycles.
What's the difference between X1 and X3?
LITELOK X1 and X3 are both highly resistant to angle grinder cuts. This resistance comes from the layers of Barronium® that each lock features. X3 uses a greater amount of Barronium® meaning it has a higher resistance to angle grinder cuts than X1. X1 has at least 5 times the resistance to angle grinder cuts compared to the best selling d-locks whereas X3 has at least 20 times the resistance.
What is the locking circumference of LITELOK X3?
LITELOK X3 has a full-sized locking circumference of approximately 100 x 195mm.
Has LITELOK X3 been independently tested?
Yes, it has been thoroughly tested by Sold Secure and both locks achieve Sold Secure Powered Cycle and Pedal Cycle Diamond levels (the highest ratings available). It has also been tested by ART, and certified ART4.
(Note: Sold Secure is owned and administered by the Master Locksmiths Association (a not-for-profit trade association) and works from purpose built laboratories in the UK.

Our founder and CEO, Professor Neil Barron, supported by Innovate UK, worked closely with some of the world’s leading material scientists for over 5 years to develop Barronium®, our ground breaking angle grinder resistant technology.
What is LITELOK X3 made from?
LITELOK X3 is built with Barronium®, a patent-pending anti-angle grinder material that is applied as a permanently fused composite armour, providing maximum cut resistance and protection from angle grinder attacks. The Barronium® layer repels angle grinder discs.
The X range comprises of three layers of protection:
1. A fine-grain, hardened high-tensile steel core providing inner strength against multiple tool attacks
2. Barronium® anti-angle grinder armour, permanently fused to the core to repel angle grinder discs
3. A plant-based eco-rubber outer layer is soft to touch, so it won't damage your frame.
What is the warranty?
LITELOK X3 is sold with a 7-year warranty to provide peace of mind and covers mechanical or operational faults through normal usage. The warranty does not cover aesthetic wear and tear. It is important to register your lock and keys with us so that in the event that you lose your keys, replacements can be ordered.

It's expensive, but you have to appreciate it for the investment that it is. I can just about squeeze it over the tyre of my 2025 Triumph Trident 660, and by 'squeeze' I mean it takes a bit of wiggling. Luckily, the soft rubber coating doesn't harm the painted rims of the bike. I've found the perfect tail pack (Held Tenda 2, 6 litre) so that I can take the lock and a lasso chain with me everywhere. I had to remove a tiny bit of rubber coating so that I can close the X3 with the chain. The lock is solid as a rock, as you would expect from Abloy, and I especially like the silicone keyhole cover. I hope that the X3 is never put to the test, but if it is, I'm reassured that hopefully this is the best insurance policy for the money. Pros- Solid, great lock, rubber coating. Cons- Could be 1 or 2 cm's wider (but you can't please everyone), doesn't come in camo like the X1.

I saw lots of reviews about this fantastic lock and I have seen many comments saying the X3 Moto wouldn’t fit a BMW GS1200/1250 Adventure. So I thought I would do my review and video to show that it fits perfectly on the big GS.
I can’t see how anyone is going to get this off without a lot of destruction!! I purchased a hi viz coiled up disc lock reminder cable as the X3 is tucked out of sight on the rear wheel. It would be nice if LITELOK supplied one of these with the lock at this price point.
Overall I am very pleased with my LITELOK X3 Moto and highly recommend it. Just don’t expect it to actually be light! It is light for what it is but it’s still 2.5kg.

Honestly a great product, the build quality is excellent.
Customer service is also excellent, my X3 came with a pouch that had a hole in it- I contacted customer service and they sent me a new pouch the next day.
