Top Quality Motorcycle U-Lock
Super beefy U-lock with just large enough gap to fit on the front wheel of my Ninja 400, providing extra security. It is dense, but not too heavy to carry on the go. The lock mechanism is smooth, but getting the key in the right position can be tricky with one hand.

Can X3 be cut with an angle grinder?
Unfortunately, all locks can be cut with the right tools and enough time. The exact time it takes depends on a number of factors like the power of the angle grinder, the type of discs used and the skill of the user. During our own and independent tests we found that X3 is at least 20 times more angle grinder resistant than the current leading d-lock as well as needing multiple discs and batteries to cut it.
How much does LITELOK X3 weigh?
LITELOK X3 weighs approximately 2.1kgs or 4.6lbs.
What's the difference between X3 Bike and X3 Moto?
There is no difference between the Bike and Moto versions. They are exactly the same locks. The reason why we differentiate them is to show how X3 can be used as an effective security device for all types of bicycles and motorcycles.
What's the difference between X1 and X3?
LITELOK X1 and X3 are both highly resistant to angle grinder cuts. This resistance comes from the layers of Barronium® that each lock features. X3 uses a greater amount of Barronium® meaning it has a higher resistance to angle grinder cuts than X1. X1 has at least 5 times the resistance to angle grinder cuts compared to the best selling d-locks whereas X3 has at least 20 times the resistance.
What is the locking circumference of LITELOK X3?
LITELOK X3 has a full-sized locking circumference of approximately 100 x 195mm.
Has LITELOK X3 been independently tested?
Yes, it has been thoroughly tested by Sold Secure and both locks achieve Sold Secure Powered Cycle and Pedal Cycle Diamond levels (the highest ratings available). It has also been tested by ART, and certified ART4.
(Note: Sold Secure is owned and administered by the Master Locksmiths Association (a not-for-profit trade association) and works from purpose built laboratories in the UK.

Our founder and CEO, Professor Neil Barron, supported by Innovate UK, worked closely with some of the world’s leading material scientists for over 5 years to develop Barronium®, our ground breaking angle grinder resistant technology.
What is LITELOK X3 made from?
LITELOK X3 is built with Barronium®, a patent-pending anti-angle grinder material that is applied as a permanently fused composite armour, providing maximum cut resistance and protection from angle grinder attacks. The Barronium® layer repels angle grinder discs.
The X range comprises of three layers of protection:
1. A fine-grain, hardened high-tensile steel core providing inner strength against multiple tool attacks
2. Barronium® anti-angle grinder armour, permanently fused to the core to repel angle grinder discs
3. A plant-based eco-rubber outer layer is soft to touch, so it won't damage your frame.
What is the warranty?
LITELOK X3 is sold with a 7-year warranty to provide peace of mind and covers mechanical or operational faults through normal usage. The warranty does not cover aesthetic wear and tear. It is important to register your lock and keys with us so that in the event that you lose your keys, replacements can be ordered.

Having had an expensive and supposedly highly rated German brand of bike lock cut through with an angle grinder at Paddington station, I took the decision to go for the current best in market in terms of cut-resistance. The chances of someone carrying round 5+ replacement grinder disks is unlikely - and there will always be easier locks to go for. While it's on the heavy side, it's not disproportionate and I don't notice it on the road bike I use in London. I really like the novel lock mount.

Bought a LITELOK X3 and I’m so pleased with it reassures me my bike is as safe as I can make it before I carried a large chain and lock the X3 is so much easier to carry around and to install and a lot more secure with being resistant to angle grinders I so impressed I’m going to purchase another for my scooter lol it’s definitely easier with 2 hands though but as I’ve shown can be done with 1 hand

Imagine parking up your 2019 BMW R1200 GSA outside your hotel in London and waking up the following morning only to find part of your front disc and the expensive lock that was supposed to protect you.
The on-board audible alarm didn’t seem to deter the thieves from stealing the motorbike which probably took them less than a minute to cut through the disc before it pushed into a van and driven away.
After this traumatic event I turned to the internet to find out ways of protecting my future motorbike, or at least make it more of a challenge, against those unscrupulous people who feel it is morally acceptable to relieve people of their processions.
Having seen, at first hand, the effectiveness of a hand held angle grinder, disc brake locks were completely ruled out which meant it wasn’t too long before I came across the LITELOK range.
After reviewing the information and videos on line I ordered up the LITELOK X3 Moto lock which according to an independent tester requires 4 grinding discs to make one cut. Mount the lock through the wheel hub means two cuts resulting in even more time required to steal the bike which might put off the even the more determined teams patrolling the streets at night.
The lock itself is heavy and has a solid feel about it. The ends of the hairpin, where it connects into the main barrel of the lock, has an anti-turn ridge which prevents the hairpin from rotating if the lock has been cut in halve, hence two cuts required to remove it .

Someone had actually had a go at stealing my Peugeot tweet as there was damage to the abloy lock casing and deep groves to the rubber casing which I have covered with some duct tape, bit upset my lock has been damaged when only 2 weeks old but most importantly my scooter didn’t go missing and the lock still works fine.

Excellent security for bikes, my husband has a “stable” of bikes he enjoys cleaning and looking at, all but the newest secured by Litelok x3 the fourth will be on order in a few days. Garage has cctv, alarms and more but litelok provides the additional security needed.
