Is the LITELOK X1 angle-grinder resistant?
Yes. The LITELOK X1 is armored with patented Barronium®, a composite material designed to significantly resist angle-grinder attacks by turning the grinder’s energy back against itself.
While no lock is completely unbreakable, independent and in‑house testing has shown that the X1 offers at least 5× more resistance to angle-grinder attacks than current leading D‑locks. This increases the time, effort, and noise required — acting as a strong deterrent for daily commuting.
What is the advantage of using the CORE Flex with the X1?
The LITELOK X1 and CORE Flex are designed to work together to provide a balance of security and everyday practicality.
Use the X1 as your primary lock to secure the frame to fixed objects during your commute. The CORE Flex complements this by offering a lightweight, wearable, and flexible secondary locking option, ideal for securing wheels, accessories, or additional contact points.
Together, they allow you to double-lock your bike, extend your locking options, and carry both locks comfortably throughout the day.

Can I wear the CORE Flex while riding?
Yes. The CORE Flex is designed to be worn around the waist while riding, using the supplied wearable kit for comfort and ease of use.
It fits waist sizes up to approximately 41", and the wearable system secures the lock in place without needing to fasten it tightly around your body.
How do I carry the LITELOK X1?
The LITELOK X1 can be carried in a bag, in the supplied pouch, or mounted directly to your bike frame using the X1 Tactical Mount (sold separately).
The Tactical Mount provides a secure and convenient way to carry the lock during everyday rides, keeping it stable even on rough roads.
Can I attach the CORE Flex to my bike?
Yes. The CORE Flex is supplied with wrap straps and mounting options, allowing it to be attached to your bike frame, pannier rack, or other suitable mounting points.
Its flexible construction also allows it to be coiled and secured neatly for transport when not in use.
Who invented Barronium®?
Barronium® was developed by LITELOK founder and CEO, Professor Neil Barron, with support from Innovate UK.
Developed over more than five years alongside leading material scientists, Barronium® is a patented composite material designed specifically to resist modern theft methods such as angle-grinder attacks.
Are the locks in this bundle keyed alike?
No. This bundle is not keyed alike.
The LITELOK X1 and CORE Flex each come with their own set of keys, allowing each lock to be managed independently.
What is the warranty?
Warranty is applied per individual lock in the bundle:
- LITELOK X1: 3‑year warranty
- LITELOK CORE Flex: 1‑year warranty
Both warranties cover mechanical or operational faults arising from normal use. Cosmetic wear and tear is not covered. We recommend registering your locks and keys so replacement keys can be ordered if required.

I like the locks. The cover on the U lock makes getting the key in a little tough. I wish the U lock had a longer reach. Quality product and the sight of this lock will keep most thieves looking for an easier target. I also like the frame carrier for both locks!

I ordered this because I have a new ebike and I live in Oxford - the city of bike thieves. It really seems to do the job; it looks strong enough to deter the most determined thief. I am extremely happy with the combination of D lock and chain as it gives me more flexibility in places to leave my bike. My only slight reservation is the weight but I would rather have the Fort Knox of locks than my bike stolen, also my insurance demands the strongest lock! I would recommend this lock to others.

Still haven't received it. 😕 Going on a month. Purchased November 27th, and it's December 21st. Would love to review it once received. I'm hoping it's worth the wait, as I haven't been able to ride my new electric in fear of it being stolen. Litelok has a great reputation and a uniquely strong lock. I'd really love to use it one day...
