Unfortunately, all locks can be cut with the right tools and enough time. The time required depends on factors such as the power of the angle grinder, the cutting discs used, and the skill of the user.

During our own testing and independent testing, we found that both the LITELOK X1 and X1 PLUS are at least 5 times more resistant to angle-grinder attacks than current leading D‑locks, requiring multiple cutting discs to make a successful cut. This significantly increases the time, effort, and noise involved, acting as a strong deterrent in urban and higher‑risk environments.

Both the LITELOK X1 and X1 PLUS use patented Barronium® angle-grinder‑resistant armor and deliver the same level of core security. The key difference is their size and internal reach.

• LITELOK X1 PLUS has an extended internal locking space of approximately 101 × 255 mm / 3.97 × 10", giving significantly more reach for demanding locking situations.

The difference in internal length makes the X1 PLUS better suited to larger frames and thicker stands, while the X1 remains more compact and easier to manage day‑to‑day.

Yes. Both the LITELOK X1 and X1 PLUS can be attached to your bike using the X1 Tactical Mount (sold separately).

The X1 Tactical Mount is designed to securely hold the lock on your bike frame during everyday riding, keeping it stable even on rough roads.

Each mount carries one lock — if you wish to mount both locks simultaneously, two separate Tactical Mounts are required.

All mounts and carrying accessories are sold separately unless otherwise stated.

Both the LITELOK X1 and X1 PLUS are independently tested and certified Sold Secure Bicycle Diamond and Powered Cycle Diamond, as well as ART4, making them suitable for bikes, e-bikes and motorcycles where a strong physical and visual deterrent is essential.

Yes. Both locks have been independently tested by recognised testing bodies including Sold Secure and ART.

Sold Secure testing is owned and administered by the Master Locksmiths Association, with evaluations carried out in purpose-built laboratories in the UK. Both the LITELOK X1 and X1 PLUS achieve Sold Secure Bicycle Diamond and Powered Cycle Diamond certification, the highest levels available under the Sold Secure rating system.

Both locks are also certified ART4, confirming their resistance against sustained and professional‑grade attack methods.

These certifications provide independent assurance that both locks meet stringent real‑world security standards for urban and higher‑risk environments.

The LITELOK X‑range is built with Barronium®, a patented anti-angle-grinder composite material that is permanently fused as armor to provide exceptional cut resistance. The Barronium® layer is specifically engineered to repel and degrade angle-grinder cutting discs, significantly slowing modern theft attacks.

The X‑range uses a three-layer construction:

• A fine-grain, hardened high‑tensile steel core, providing strength against twisting, leverage, and multiple tool attacks
• Patented Barronium® composite armor, permanently fused to the steel core to resist angle-grinder cutting discs
• A plant‑based eco-rubber outer layer, soft to the touch to help protect your bike frame from damage

Both the X1 and X1 PLUS use the same materials and construction, with differences focused on size and reach rather than security performance.

There is no physical or technical difference between the Bike and Moto versions of LITELOK X‑range locks — including the X1 and X1 PLUS. They are exactly the same locks, using the same materials, construction and security technologies.

The Bike and Moto naming is used solely to help riders understand how a lock can be applied across different use cases, such as bicycles, e-bikes and motorcycles. The lock itself remains unchanged, only the intended application.

Both the LITELOK X1 and X1 PLUS are covered by a 3‑year warranty, covering mechanical or operational faults arising from normal use.

Cosmetic wear and tear is not covered. Registering your lock and keys allows replacement keys to be ordered if required.
