First I tried to instal it the way it's shown on the horizontal tube, but because of bottle mounting screws I couldn't, so I installed it on the seat tube, and it's perfect for me !

This is a sturdy mount for the litelok x3. A bit large but it has to be given the bulk of the litelok x3.

4 stars because mount is big, bulky and stiff when attaching and detaching lock. That said, it’s probably the only way to mount this lock. For daughter’s college, it is perfect because relatively easy to use, bot fast and, once on, very stable. For my road bike, when running errands I actually take apart lock, put base in saddle bag and strap the horseshoe around rear tire. Takes more time, but saves space in frame and lets me distribute weight of lock.

I’ve currently attached this mount to my adventure motorcycle crash bars (Tiger800XRX). The adjustable mounting system allows for a low and forward mounting point optimising weight distribution forward and low. Easy access ensures it will be used whenever the motorcycle is unattended at home or on a ride. I can also quickly mount it on my mountain bike if bike packing and need the ultimate security for pedal power.

Having to unlock the X3 to remove it from the mount means no freak accidents of the X3 flying off my bike.

It's a big thing. It is quite pleasant to the touch. I easily fixed it to my frame (more rectangular than round). It holds the lock well and also holds well on the frame. As I wrote in the review of the X3, at first there were some problems with inserting the lock into the mounting hole, but later everything rubbed together and holds perfectly. The only thing that confused me at the beginning and still confuses me now is the plastic clamps, which are probably not simple plastic (because they feel different), but they are not metal. I wish they would hold and serve for a long time. Otherwise, everything is fine

I think the litelok x3 is an impressive lock! I really like the rubber outer casing that prevents the lock from scratching the wheel of frame. I also like the rubber key protector, preventing water getting into the barrel!
I just feel the D shape part of the lock needs to be a little wider, to allow the lock to fit over the tyre and wheel on the rear.
The tactical mount is a must!!!! Works perfectly and saves carrying the lock!
Overall I was impressed.
I also like the fact that it was manufactured in the UK!!!!

Well made lock that will definitely keep.my Nike safe.
Only thing is that my key doesn't turn smoothly or fully when inserted from a certain side.
