There’s something special about exhibiting close to home. For us at LITELOK, heading to Battle on the Beach was a chance to showcase our bike security solutions right here in Wales, just down the road from where much of the brand’s story is rooted.
Set against the stunning backdrop of Pembrey Country Park and the iconic stretch of Cefn Sidan Beach, Battle on the Beach is known as the UK’s biggest off-road cycle race. In 2026, cyclists across all categories took on a demanding course of approximately 45 kilometres, combining endurance, technical riding, and the raw challenge of coastal terrain.
For us, the event was about more than visibility, it was a chance to connect directly with the cycling community in an environment that reflects real-world conditions. Riders, spectators, and fellow exhibitors were able to see first-hand how LITELOK security performs under pressure, tested against angle grinders, the most common tool used by bike thieves. To clearly demonstrate its strength, we first showed a standard D-lock and then compared it with LITELOK.

What we wanted cyclists to take away from the experience is that not all bike locks offer the same level of protection.
LITELOK X locks are certified Sold Secure Diamond, the highest security rating available, giving riders peace of mind that their bike is protected by one of the toughest standards in the industry.

At Battle on the Beach, we also took the opportunity to quietly introduce the LITELOK X1 MINI to riders and gather their early impressions. Designed as the lightest grinder-resistant U-lock we’ve ever created, the X1 MINI brings a more compact and portable option to the LITELOK range.
With a shorter shackle than the standard X1, it’s smaller, lighter, and easier to carry, making it an ideal choice for riders who want maximum security without the extra bulk. Despite its reduced size, it delivers the same uncompromising level of protection that defines the X1 family.

It was also great to see the sun make an appearance in Wales for the day, adding to the atmosphere at Pembrey. Alongside meeting plenty of cyclists, it was just as enjoyable to meet a fair few of their four-legged companions too, always a welcome bonus at events like this.
We’d like to congratulate all of the riders who took part over the weekend, an impressive effort across every category on such a demanding course. Thank you as well to everyone who visited our stand, spoke with the team, and took the time to engage with our live demonstrations. It was a pleasure to meet so many members of the cycling community and be part of an outstanding event.
