It is a super hard ceramic composite material that repels angle grinder attacks and turns the grinder's energy and force in on itself. Continuous cutting wears down the grinder discs, batteries and ultimately the grinder motor itself.

Can X1 be cut with an angle grinder?
Unfortunately, all locks can be cut with the right tools and enough time. The exact time it takes depends on a number of factors like the power of the angle grinder, the type of discs used and the skill of the user. During our own and independent tests we found that X1 is at least 5 times more angle grinder resistant than the current leading U-lock as well as needing multiple discs to cut it.
How much does LITELOK X1 weigh?
LITELOK X1 weighs approximately 1.7kgs or 3.7lbs.
What's the difference between X1 Bike and X1 Moto?
There is no difference between the Bike and Moto versions. They are exactly the same locks. The reason why we differentiate them is to show how X1 can be used as an effective security device for all types of bicycles and motorcycles.
What's the difference between X1 and X3?
LITELOK X1 and X3 are both highly resistant to angle grinder cuts. This resistance comes from the layers of Barronium® that each lock features. X3 uses a higher amount of Barronium® meaning it has a higher resistance to angle grinder cuts than X1. X1 has at least 5 times the resistance to angle grinder cuts compared to the best selling U-locks whereas X3 has at least 20 times the resistance.
What is the locking circumference of LITELOK X1?
LITELOK X1 has a full-sized locking circumference of approximately 101 x 196mm meaning you can lock more bikes in more places than other armoured U-locks.
Can I attach LITELOK X1 to my bike?
LITELOK X1 is compatible with our innovative X1 Tactical mount for mounting the lock on your bike frame. The X1 Tactical Mount fits a wide variety of bikes and e-bikes ensuring your LITELOK X1 is held securely even the roughest of terrain.
X1 is also compatible with the Twist & Go mount.
Both of the X1 mounts are sold separately.
Has LITELOK X1 been independently tested?
Yes, it has been thoroughly tested by independent testing bodies Sold Secure and ART. Both locks achieve Sold Secure Powered Cycle and Bicycle Diamond levels (the highest ratings available) and ART4.
(Note: Sold Secure is owned and administered by the Master Locksmiths Association (a not-for-profit trade association) and works from purpose built laboratories in the UK.

What is LITELOK X1 made from?
LITELOK X1 is built with Barronium®, a patent-pending anti-angle grinder material that is applied as a permanently fused composite armour, providing maximum cut resistance and protection from angle grinder attacks. The Barronium® layer repels angle grinder discs.
The X range comprises of three layers of protection:
1. A fine-grain, hardened high-tensile steel core providing inner strength against multiple tool attacks
2. Barronium™ anti-angle grinder armour, permanently fused to the core to repel angle grinder discs
3. A plant-based eco-rubber outer layer is soft to touch, so it won't damage your frame.
What is the warranty?
LITELOK X1 is sold with a 3 year warranty to provide peace of mind and covers mechanical or operational faults through normal usage. The warranty does not cover aesthetic wear and tear. It is important to register your lock and keys with us so that in the event that you lose your keys, replacements can be ordered.

I bought my litelok x1 moto because, like many riders, love my bike and prefer to keep it than have some 'toe-rag' steel it for a few minutes of enjoyment, broken down for parts or to be involved in an uninsured accident whereby some innocent party gets hurt or more seriously killed.
Whilst it may not deter the most devout thieves, it will prolong the process of the theft or better, make them move on to a less well secured motorbike.....Easy to carry, easier to deploy and peace of mind is priceless.. Would by another if it was produced an extra 100mm longer.

I had my doubts first about this Litelok x1 but on trying it on my front wheel I would definitely recommend to anyone who wishes to keep their wheels safe from opportunists (thieves).
I take mine everywhere in a bag on my back, even though it’s quite weighty it’s not noticeable. Even if I only park my bike for only 2 minutes this Litelok go’s on every time taking no chances with the love of my life, as this will probably be my last bike being 70 yoa

The lock arrived quickly and looks tough. The videos involving angle grinders are reassuring. Of course I'll only know in, say, 5 years time how good the lock is, or was (hopefully that will be is, not was).
I've been using the lock for a month now and so far so good. I don't worry any more when I leave my bike locked up on the street for the day. Peace of mind is a lovely thing.

I'm a motorcycle nut! I have a bunch of different bikes and I live and work in London. I refuse to allow the thieves to change my enjoyment of my motorcycles.
I've been using an X3 since they were first released but I realised I could become even more secure if I added an extra layer with the X1 without adding the additional weight of a heavy duty chain. I now put the X3 through my front wheel, and I use the X1 as a link through the X3 attached to a lamp post or some street furniture. If there is no street furniture, X3 through the front wheel and the X1 is thin enough to fit through the rear brake disc and rear wheel. I'm confident I've got the best real world security solution for London I can carry without adding weight that I'd notice as I ride.
