Small price for big peace of mind
Coming in a really useful pouch, the X1 is fantastic. Fits my Maeving RM1S rear wheel perfectly (as well as in the storage tank when not in use). Frequently Asked Questions
Can X1 be cut with an angle grinder?
Unfortunately, all locks can be cut with the right tools and enough time. The exact time it takes depends on a number of factors like the power of the angle grinder, the type of discs used and the skill of the user. During our own and independent tests we found that X1 is at least 5 times more angle grinder resistant than the current leading U-lock as well as needing multiple discs to cut it.
How much does LITELOK X1 weigh?
LITELOK X1 weighs approximately 1.7kgs or 3.7lbs.
What's the difference between X1 Bike and X1 Moto?
There is no difference between the Bike and Moto versions. They are exactly the same locks. The reason why we differentiate them is to show how X1 can be used as an effective security device for all types of bicycles and motorcycles.
What's the difference between X1 and X3?
LITELOK X1 and X3 are both highly resistant to angle grinder cuts. This resistance comes from the layers of Barronium® that each lock features. X3 uses a higher amount of Barronium® meaning it has a higher resistance to angle grinder cuts than X1. X1 has at least 5 times the resistance to angle grinder cuts compared to the best selling U-locks whereas X3 has at least 20 times the resistance.
What is the locking circumference of LITELOK X1?
LITELOK X1 has a full-sized locking circumference of approximately 101 x 196mm meaning you can lock more bikes in more places than other armoured u-locks.
Has LITELOK X1 been independently tested?
Yes, it has been thoroughly tested by independent testing bodies Sold Secure and ART. Both locks achieve Sold Secure Powered Cycle and Bicycle Diamond levels (the highest ratings available) and ART4.
(Note: Sold Secure is owned and administered by the Master Locksmiths Association (a not-for-profit trade association) and works from purpose built laboratories in the UK.

Our founder and CEO, Professor Neil Barron, supported by Innovate UK, worked closely with some of the world’s leading material scientists for over 5 years to develop Barronium®, our ground breaking angle grinder resistant technology.
What is LITELOK X1 made from?
LITELOK X1 is built with Barronium®, a patent-pending anti-angle grinder material that is applied as a permanently fused composite armour, providing maximum cut resistance and protection from angle grinder attacks. The Barronium® layer repels angle grinder discs.
The X range comprises of three layers of protection:
1. A fine-grain, hardened high-tensile steel core providing inner strength against multiple tool attacks
2. Barronium™ anti-angle grinder armour, permanently fused to the core to repel angle grinder discs
3. A plant-based eco-rubber outer layer is soft to touch, so it won't damage your frame.
What is the warranty?
LITELOK X1 is sold with a 3 year warranty to provide peace of mind and covers mechanical or operational faults through normal usage. The warranty does not cover aesthetic wear and tear. It is important to register your lock and keys with us so that in the event that you lose your keys, replacements can be ordered.

Planned a trip to Morocco, which I and a friend are currently coming to the end of, and had purchased the X3 to take along with a heavy chain and two disc locks. After receiving the X3 I soon realised that this and an X1 would be all I needed. Have used both to securely lock the bike each evening. One goes through the front wheel hub and the other through the rear. I can sleep soundly knowing the the bike is as secure as it can be. What a fantastic product that I would 100% recommend. Bought to replace heavy chain with padlock and and 'D' lock.
I live in Bristol notorious for M/C theft.
Having become aware of angle grinders used in M/C thefts, it was time I upgraded my bike security.
I now use both Litelok products to secure my bike to a ground anchor which is welded to an industrial band saw.
The liteloks are easy to use so I will also use one or both of them when leaving the bike on the street. I could easily secure the Core Moto to a post or another m/c.

I was in the market for a decent “D” lock for a while and had heard about the LITELOK from social media.
It fits well in my pannier and the neoprene case stops it clunking around when I’m out
I have successfully fit it through both discs on the front wheel, which was tricky with the spokes angles but once on, instantly deters would be thieves as the wheel won’t budge and you can’t access the “U” very easily with a grinder.
I’m hoping the look of it will act as a deterrent to a determined thief and (unfortunately) send them elsewhere for an easier opportunity.
I use in combo with a handlebar lever lock and Disc lock for good measure. It’s all about layering when parked up in a city or away from home.
Quick to put on/take off, however fiddly, if I want it through the 2 discs and spokes, as it means lining the gaps up, but Handy regardless.

The Litelock X1 is as easy to use as any other lock, but knowing it's been thoroughly tested againt angle grinder attack and is so much better than most brings more piece of mind when storing or leaving my bike.
Its so portable I can also use use this to better protect my Ebike.
I still use my other locks, but I'm sure this is the one that will deter most thieves.
It might seem a bit of overkill, but it only takes a minute to put them, and as I've said, gives me piece of mind knowing my bike will still be there on my return. Thanks.

I needed a quality lock that was easy to pack and yet give me the confidence that it would be secure enough. Travelling just over 2k miles on a road trip to Chamonix I was able to lock my bike with ease, public spaces, underground car parks. I was also reassured to see one of my fellow travellers also had the same lock! The neoprene cover is also a nice touch, stops it rattling around in the top box and gives protection from any dust/dirt.

After a while of contemplation I finally bought the Litelok x1.
What an awesome piece of kit! The quality feels great, the weight is suitable but not too much to ride around with, and the confidence this has given me to leave my bike in places is ace. I no longer worry that somebody will be through my lock in seconds - at least not without making a hell of a noise.
Fits perfectly into a backpack or in my case, a small pannier mounted box and for locking, I’ve nudged it around the swing arm and through the rear wheel. This way makes it all the more awkward for anybody to attack and still takes me just seconds.
I love it. Will be buying another.
