Small price for big peace of mind
Coming in a really useful pouch, the X1 is fantastic. Fits my Maeving RM1S rear wheel perfectly (as well as in the storage tank when not in use). The knowledge that it'd take any nefarious individual a significant amount of time and effort to even get close to stealing my beloved bike is enormous comfort which is an incredible thing from such a small and reasonably priced package.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can X1 be cut with an angle grinder?
Unfortunately, all locks can be cut with the right tools and enough time. The exact time it takes depends on a number of factors like the power of the angle grinder, the type of discs used and the skill of the user. During our own and independent tests we found that X1 is at least 5 times more angle grinder resistant than the current leading U-lock as well as needing multiple discs to cut it.
How much does LITELOK X1 weigh?
LITELOK X1 weighs approximately 1.7kgs or 3.7lbs.
What's the difference between X1 Bike and X1 Moto?
There is no difference between the Bike and Moto versions. They are exactly the same locks. The reason why we differentiate them is to show how X1 can be used as an effective security device for all types of bicycles and motorcycles.
What's the difference between X1 and X3?
LITELOK X1 and X3 are both highly resistant to angle grinder cuts. This resistance comes from the layers of Barronium® that each lock features. X3 uses a higher amount of Barronium® meaning it has a higher resistance to angle grinder cuts than X1. X1 has at least 5 times the resistance to angle grinder cuts compared to the best selling U-locks whereas X3 has at least 20 times the resistance.
What is the locking circumference of LITELOK X1?
LITELOK X1 has a full-sized locking circumference of approximately 101 x 196mm meaning you can lock more bikes in more places than other armoured u-locks.
Has LITELOK X1 been independently tested?
Yes, it has been thoroughly tested by independent testing bodies Sold Secure and ART. Both locks achieve Sold Secure Powered Cycle and Bicycle Diamond levels (the highest ratings available) and ART4.
(Note: Sold Secure is owned and administered by the Master Locksmiths Association (a not-for-profit trade association) and works from purpose built laboratories in the UK.

Our founder and CEO, Professor Neil Barron, supported by Innovate UK, worked closely with some of the world’s leading material scientists for over 5 years to develop Barronium®, our ground breaking angle grinder resistant technology.
What is LITELOK X1 made from?
LITELOK X1 is built with Barronium®, a patent-pending anti-angle grinder material that is applied as a permanently fused composite armour, providing maximum cut resistance and protection from angle grinder attacks. The Barronium® layer repels angle grinder discs.
The X range comprises of three layers of protection:
1. A fine-grain, hardened high-tensile steel core providing inner strength against multiple tool attacks
2. Barronium™ anti-angle grinder armour, permanently fused to the core to repel angle grinder discs
3. A plant-based eco-rubber outer layer is soft to touch, so it won't damage your frame.
What is the warranty?
LITELOK X1 is sold with a 3 year warranty to provide peace of mind and covers mechanical or operational faults through normal usage. The warranty does not cover aesthetic wear and tear. It is important to register your lock and keys with us so that in the event that you lose your keys, replacements can be ordered.

Really happy with this lock- definitely gives me peace of mind. I travel extensively throughout Europe and in the past have used bulky chain locks which are heavy, awkward and never quite sit right on the bike. I will be using this moving forward as it is very simple, is a well known and quality brand that hopefully would be thieves will avoid!
I know the X1 plus is available which is longer but ideally there would be the X1 wide fit that would allow the lock to go over the wheels too (something I have seen from other reviewers also.)
I would also like to see an included reminder cable and 3 keys as standard like other competitors; and perhaps some anti scuff coating on the tines of the lock itself to protect metalwork when feeding it through spokes, discs, rims etc.
Overall I love that this is a British made and designed product and the Sold Secure status it has should hopefully reduce my insurance premium moving forward.
I would definitely recommend this to friends.

As the title says. When I got the lock, I was immediately impressed. The manufacturing on it, the fact it’s made in Britain, everything, is just premium about this lock. When this lock first arrived it was quite a big surprise what a lump it was. When I applied it to my motorcycle it fits just beautifully and actually looks the part. Its outer casing means that it will not cause damage to the front part of the bike when it is fitted. That with its weight gives an owner confidence that it will do its part as very little is exposed when the Jimmi's think they know better if they attempt anything. Only time will tell, if I leave my Goldwing alone on the street.

Recent purchase, this lock has a quality feel to it,.the lock engages positively with a smooth action, lock body has a rubber coating which prevents scratching also comes with a handy storage bag.
