Can X1 PLUS be cut with an angle grinder?
Unfortunately, all locks can be cut with the right tools and enough time. The exact time it takes depends on a number of factors like the power of the angle grinder, the type of discs used and the skill of the user. During our own and independent tests we found that X1 PLUS is at least 5 times more angle grinder resistant than the current leading U-lock as well as needing multiple discs to cut it.
What’s the difference between Keyed Alike and Keyed Differently?
Keyed Alike means both locks use the same key.
- You only need to carry one key for both locks.
Keyed Differently means each lock has its own unique key.
- You’ll have separate keys for each lock.
How much does LITELOK X1 PLUS weigh?
LITELOK X1 PLUS weighs approximately 1.99kg (4.39lb).
What's the difference between X1 PLUS Bike and X1 PLUS Moto?
There is no difference between the Bike and Moto versions. They are exactly the same locks. The reason why we differentiate them is to show how X1 PLUS can be used as an effective security device for all types of bicycles and motorcycles.
What's the difference between X1 PLUS and X3?
LITELOK X1 PLUS and X3 are both highly resistant to angle grinder cuts. This resistance comes from the layers of Barronium® that each lock features. X3 uses a greater amount of Barronium® meaning it has a higher resistance to angle grinder cuts than X1 PLUS. X1 PLUS has at least 5 times the resistance to angle grinder cuts compared to the best selling d-locks whereas X3 has at least 20 times the resistance.
What is the locking circumference of LITELOK X1 PLUS?
LITELOK X1 PLUS has a full-sized locking circumference of approximately 101 x 255mm meaning you can lock more bikes in more places than other d-locks.
Can I attach LITELOK X1 PLUS to my bike?
LITELOK X1 PLUS is compatible with our innovative X1 Tactical Mount for mounting the lock on your bike frame. The X1 Tactical Mount fits a wide variety of bikes and e-bikes ensuring your LITELOK X1 PLUS is held securely even the roughest of terrain.
The X1 Tactical Mount is sold separately.
Please note: The X1 PLUS used with an X1 tactical Mount will only be suitable for large frames.
Has LITELOK X1 PLUS been independently tested?
Yes, it has been thoroughly tested by independent testing bodies Sold Secure and ART. Both locks achieve Sold Secure Powered Cycle and Bicycle Diamond levels (the highest ratings available) and ART4.
(Note: Sold Secure is owned and administered by the Master Locksmiths Association (a not-for-profit trade association) and works from purpose built laboratories in the UK.
What is LITELOK X1 PLUS made from?
LITELOK X1 is built with Barronium®, a patented anti-angle grinder material that is applied as a permanently fused composite armor, providing maximum cut resistance and protection from angle grinder attacks. The Barronium® layer repels angle grinder discs.
The X range comprises of three layers of protection:
1. A fine-grain, hardened high-tensile steel core providing inner strength against multiple tool attacks
2. Barronium® anti-angle grinder armor, permanently fused to the core to repel angle grinder discs
3. A rubber outer layer that is soft to touch so it won't damage your frame.

What is the warranty?
LITELOK X1 PLUS is sold with a 3 year warranty to provide peace of mind and covers mechanical or operational faults through normal usage. The warranty does not cover aesthetic wear and tear. It is important to register your lock and keys with us so that in the event that you lose your keys, replacements can be ordered.

Was worried that it wouldn't fit my BMW S1000XR as many people say they are too narrow for a rear wheel(didn't really want it on the front, too easy to lift, I know the back can be lifted but it's harder). Goes on from right to left, around a spoke & through a hole in the swingarm! They'd have to cut either the X1 or swingarm(twice)/spoke & drivechain! That may take a while! Still say they need to be wider, & why only 2 keys with it when the core moto that I bought with it comes with 3?

The lock would benefit from the shackle being an extra 1.5cm wider to enable it to go over a sport bike wheel & tyre.

Took our Litelok X1plus x2 to Europe to keep our bikes secure, we also have 2 core moto 125s that we fasten together and then fasten both bikes together to an immovable un cut able object. We felt secure leaving them for a few hours while visiting places, and overnight at our accommodation. First class pieces of kit !

It's good to have a grinder resistant U lock but to eliminate the lifting and taking away linking two bikes together really makes it difficult for theives to complete the job.

Shortly after getting this lock i had a four day tour in Scotland. My X1 plus easily went through the front wheels of mine and my friends bike locking them together, which obviously makes the bikes more secure than a disc lock which i have always used in the past.

I bought two of these locks to add an extra layer of security to both of my motorcycles. I specifically purchased the X1plus because it is easy to store and carry, but most importantly actually fits my yamaha xvs1300 which other similar locks do not. The extra peace of mind knowing it makes the theft of the bike very much more difficult is priceless.

Bought the X1 Plus as I was going touring in France with a friend and wanted a lock that would secure two bikes. Great bit of kit and felt comfortable in locking the bikes up overnight at hotels in areas we didn't know. Would absolutely recommend.
