Top Quality Motorcycle U-Lock
Super beefy U-lock with just large enough gap to fit on the front wheel of my Ninja 400, providing extra security. It is dense, but not too heavy to carry on the go. The lock mechanism is smooth, but getting the key in the right position can be tricky with one hand.

Can X3 be cut with an angle grinder?
Unfortunately, all locks can be cut with the right tools and enough time. The exact time it takes depends on a number of factors like the power of the angle grinder, the type of discs used and the skill of the user. During our own and independent tests we found that X3 is at least 20 times more angle grinder resistant than the current leading d-lock as well as needing multiple discs and batteries to cut it.
How much does LITELOK X3 weigh?
LITELOK X3 weighs approximately 2.1kgs or 4.6lbs.
What's the difference between X3 Bike and X3 Moto?
There is no difference between the Bike and Moto versions. They are exactly the same locks. The reason why we differentiate them is to show how X3 can be used as an effective security device for all types of bicycles and motorcycles.
What's the difference between X1 and X3?
LITELOK X1 and X3 are both highly resistant to angle grinder cuts. This resistance comes from the layers of Barronium® that each lock features. X3 uses a greater amount of Barronium® meaning it has a higher resistance to angle grinder cuts than X1. X1 has at least 5 times the resistance to angle grinder cuts compared to the best selling d-locks whereas X3 has at least 20 times the resistance.
What is the locking circumference of LITELOK X3?
LITELOK X3 has a full-sized locking circumference of approximately 100 x 195mm.
Has LITELOK X3 been independently tested?
Yes, it has been thoroughly tested by Sold Secure and both locks achieve Sold Secure Powered Cycle and Pedal Cycle Diamond levels (the highest ratings available). It has also been tested by ART, and certified ART4.
(Note: Sold Secure is owned and administered by the Master Locksmiths Association (a not-for-profit trade association) and works from purpose built laboratories in the UK.
What is LITELOK X3 made from?
LITELOK X3 is built with Barronium®, our patented anti-angle grinder material that is applied as a permanently fused composite armor, providing maximum cut resistance and protection from angle grinder attacks. The Barronium® layer repels angle grinder discs.
The X range comprises of three layers of protection:
1. A fine-grain, hardened high-tensile steel core providing inner strength against multiple tool attacks
2. Barronium® anti-angle grinder armor, permanently fused to the core to repel angle grinder discs
3. A plant-based eco-rubber outer layer is soft to touch, so it won't damage your frame.

Our founder and CEO, Professor Neil Barron, supported by Innovate UK, worked closely with some of the world’s leading material scientists for over 5 years to develop Barronium®, our ground breaking angle grinder resistant technology.
What is the warranty?
LITELOK X3 is sold with a 7-year warranty to provide peace of mind and covers mechanical or operational faults through normal usage. The warranty does not cover aesthetic wear and tear. It is important to register your lock and keys with us so that in the event that you lose your keys, replacements can be ordered.

Very tough and heavy visible lock. For the new 2026 Triumph Bobber it doesn’t fit round tyres or through brake disks. There is one very very snug position through rear wheel and frame by the calliper. It’s very snug but would make any grinder attempt very tricky !

Anyone coveting their pride and joy, can't fail to have noticed the increasing theft of motorcycles in the UK. The thieves are brazen, and the authorities apparently incapacitated. It really is a serious issue. We also see, on various social media, the tools of choice being the portable grinder, rendering all but a handful of locks ineffective. After doing an awful lot of research, I came to the conclusion that I needed a Litelok X3 in my life. If only in order to sleeo better at night. As part of a multi-layered approach to my security, it's definitely the linchpin. So much so, that I will be buying more as funds allow.

Having bought a New Motorbike i researched the best way to try and secure it.
The Litelok X3 came up the top of my list.
Very impressed with its quality, it would be good if it was wide enough to go over the tyre but does go through wheel spokes.

Luckily I've not had to actually test the lock yet so can't guarantee it will truly stop determined thieves, but it seems very sturdy and fits either side of my front fork through the spokes on my Triumph America 2016. The lock arrived in 3 days and was totally as expected.
I do feel better leaving my bike unattanded with the Litelok on than I did with my previous chain and disk lock, both of which I still use but the addition of the Litelok feels like a substantial increase in security.

Spent some money on the bike, so it’s only right that spend some money on security too. Went straight to the top and purchased the X3!
Thankfully, I’ve not been in a situation where I have to test its worth. However, I do now feel a little more at ease.
For the curious, the X3 does fit around the [properly inflated] front tyre of the Yamaha MT-09 SP albeit with a little wiggling.
