Tell us a little about yourself?
Hi all 👋🏻 my name is Michael aka scrambler.mike if you know me from Instagram
I was born in the South of England in the county of Berkshire and have live there all my life I have been working as a heavy plant operator for the past 16 years which can be a lot of fun. I really love to ride motorcycles but also enjoy other things such as photography, travel , music and time with family is most important.
How and when did you get into riding?
I first got into riding motorcycles when I was back in school about 20 years ago, a friend of mine in school had a Honda cr80 motocross bike which I had a go on and at first I really struggled to ride it and was even too scared to change gear 😂, I decided I wanted a bike of my own to learn on and I took out the savings I had and brought a 1986 Kawasaki KDX200.
My brother also got a bike not long after I did and this is where he started his motorcycle journey also. We were very fortunate that a family member owned some land where we could learn to ride the bikes and as we got more confident with the bikes this is when our passion for riding really started to grow and we rode together all the time.
My dad was always taking myself and my brother riding so he decided to get a bike for himself so we could all ride together and still to this day we ride together
We went on to race motocross for many years travelling around the country in our Iveco camper van, so many great memories during these times.
My motocross days ended in 2017 when I had a bad crash resulting in a severe dislocation of my knee. It was a long road to recovery but I was determined to get back on a bike so that’s when I decided to go for my motorcycle licence which I passed that same year , I was so happy to be back on a bike and went and brought myself a Suzuki gsxs750.
What are the best and worst things about riding?
The best thing about riding for me personally is the freedom it gives you and I’m pretty sure most bikers say the same thing.
One of the worst things about riding is definitely expense but still worth every penny 😂
Tell us about your most memorable ride to date?
My most memorable ride has to be riding the NC500 in Scotland with my Dad and Brother , really want to go back and do it all over again it was that good.
What's the best piece of riding advice you've ever been given?
“Never get complacent”
It’s so easy to get complacent when riding but you really do need concentrate every time you get on that bike.
How do you keep your bikes secure at home and on the go?
I have a number of different locks I use.

When someone asks what kit you recommend, you say?
I recommend Spada Clothing, I use a lot of there gear and it’s great stuff.
What's on your riding bucket list?
There are many places I would love to ride but the 3 main bucket list rides are NC500 in Scotland which I have now done, Route 66, and the Furka pass in Switzerland.
