Jenia reached out to us to share their experience of an attempted theft of their scooter in Tel Aviv, Israel, on the 27th of May. The incident occurred sometime between 9:00 AM and 4:30 PM in a designated bicycle parking area beneath their office building.
The scooter, valued at approximately $1,000, had been locked to a designated bicycle rack using only the LITELOK X1. No additional security measures were in place at the time.
"I parked my scooter in the designated bike parking area under my office building in Tel Aviv around 9:00 AM. When I came back down at approximately 4:30 PM, I discovered that someone had attempted to saw through the X1 lock.
Fortunately, they were unsuccessful, and the scooter was not stolen. The lock was visibly damaged, indicating a clear attempted theft."
