LITELOK X3 Saves £25,000 Motorcycle in Reims #71

At LITELOK, we always aim to design the toughest locks on the market—but nothing speaks louder than real-world results. Recently, Mike reached out to share their story after a close call with motorcycle theft while returning from a trip to the Alps.

"On Friday night a group of us riding back from a week in the Alps stopped over in Reims, France. In the early hours of Saturday, 2 of the 4 bikes were stolen, and the thieves also tried to take my R1300 GSA. Thankfully, they couldn’t beat the Litelok X3 locked through the front wheel hub."

The thieves didn't hold back. They came prepared with tools and attempted to breach the LITELOK X3 with an angle grinder and hammer—but the lock held firm.

"The attached photos show the attempt to cut the shackle with an angle grinder, which barely scratched the metal, and damage to the lock casing where they have tried to smash the lock with a hammer."

Despite the visible damage, the lock continued to perform flawlessly.

"When I unlocked the X3 in the morning, the key turned and released the lock like it had never been touched."
