Barronium® is a fused composite armor that offers unparalleled angle grinder resistance without adding extra weight. It is a super hard ceramic composite material that repels angle grinder attacks and turns the grinder's energy and force in on itself. Continuous cutting wears down the grinder discs, batteries and ultimately the grinder motor itself.

Can X1 be cut with an angle grinder?
Unfortunately, all locks can be cut with the right tools and enough time. The exact time it takes depends on a number of factors like the power of the angle grinder, the type of discs used and the skill of the user. During our own and independent tests we found that X1 is at least 5 times more angle grinder resistant than the current leading U-lock as well as needing multiple discs to cut it.
How much does LITELOK X1 weigh?
LITELOK X1 weighs approximately 1.7kgs or 3.7lbs.
What's the difference between X1 Bike and X1 Moto?
There is no difference between the Bike and Moto versions. They are exactly the same locks. The reason why we differentiate them is to show how X1 can be used as an effective security device for all types of bicycles and motorcycles.
What's the difference between X1 and X3?
LITELOK X1 and X3 are both highly resistant to angle grinder cuts. This resistance comes from the layers of Barronium® that each lock features.
X3 uses a higher amount of Barronium® meaning it has a higher resistance to angle grinder cuts than X1.
X1 has at least 5 times the resistance to angle grinder cuts compared to the best selling U-locks whereas X3 has at least 20 times the resistance.
What is the locking circumference of LITELOK X1?
LITELOK X1 has a full-sized locking circumference of approximately 101 x 196mm meaning you can lock more bikes in more places than other armoured U-locks.
Can I attach LITELOK X1 to my bike?
LITELOK X1 is compatible with our innovative X1 Tactical mount for mounting the lock on your bike frame. The X1 Tactical Mount fits a wide variety of bikes and e-bikes ensuring your LITELOK X1 is held securely even the roughest of terrain.
X1 is also compatible with the Twist & Go mount.
Both of the X1 mounts are sold separately.
Has LITELOK X1 been independently tested?
Yes, it has been thoroughly tested by independent testing bodies Sold Secure and ART. Both locks achieve Sold Secure Powered Cycle and Bicycle Diamond levels (the highest ratings available) and ART4.
(Note: Sold Secure is owned and administered by the Master Locksmiths Association (a not-for-profit trade association) and works from purpose built laboratories in the UK.

What is LITELOK X1 made from?
LITELOK X1 is built with Barronium®, our patented anti-angle grinder material that is applied as a permanently fused composite armor, providing maximum cut resistance and protection from angle grinder attacks. The Barronium® layer repels angle grinder discs.
The X range comprises of three layers of protection:
1. A fine-grain, hardened high-tensile steel core providing inner strength against multiple tool attacks
2. Barronium® anti-angle grinder armor, permanently fused to the core to repel angle grinder discs
3. A plant-based eco-rubber outer layer is soft to touch, so it won't damage your frame.
What is the warranty?
LITELOK X1 is sold with a 3 year warranty to provide peace of mind and covers mechanical or operational faults through normal usage. The warranty does not cover aesthetic wear and tear. It is important to register your lock and keys with us so that in the event that you lose your keys, replacements can be ordered.

I bought the x1 to take away with me on a tour of Northern Europe and Denmark.
I used the lock each night around the front wheel through the disks and alloy spokes as it was the only place it would fit.
However it fitted with no problems at all.
The lock gave me great piece of mind, especially parking in major cities overnight and provided a great deterrent to anyone who thought they’d have a go.
Thankfully no issues.
The lock packed well and the cover made sure no road grime got on my stuff in the top box….
Definitely recommended if just for the knowledge your bike will be there when you get up.

The building management for my central London office recently decided to ban ebikes from the secure underground cycle park forcing me to park my Gocycle outside. After some research I decided to trust that the Litelock X1 would be enough to keep it safe. The dimensions are just enough to fit round the thinnest part of the Gocycle frame. That it is a snug fit I hope means it's more secure. I've been using it for a few weeks and all good so far.

I have owned the X1 for a couple of years now. I guess the only way to know it is worth your money is for it to go through real life test. Some bike thefts attempted to cut through my X1 but did not succeed. There was a shattered piece of the grinder disc on the ground. It was a custom built Titanium ebike that I only owned for a few weeks and I can't imagine how devastated I would be if it was not for the X1! I am going to get another one to beef up my bike security even more!

It must work as I still have my bike.
Quality is good and the rubber coating saves damage to the paint on the wheels.
It's a bit expensive but if it works it's worth it.

I use the Litelok X1 (Bike-Version) to secure my Lemmo-e-bike where it does a really good job.
I bought it with the X1 Tactical Mount that keeps the lock in its place and out of the way when driving with the bike. The lock makes a good impression and I'm not afraid to leave my bike alone as long at is locked like this.
