It is a super hard ceramic composite material that repels angle grinder attacks and turns the grinder's energy and force in on itself. Can X1 be cut with an angle grinder?
Unfortunately, all locks can be cut with the right tools and enough time. The exact time it takes depends on a number of factors like the power of the angle grinder, the type of discs used and the skill of the user. During our own and independent tests we found that X1 is at least 5 times more angle grinder resistant than the current leading U-lock as well as needing multiple discs to cut it.
How much does LITELOK X1 weigh?
LITELOK X1 weighs approximately 1.7kgs or 3.7lbs.
What's the difference between X1 Bike and X1 Moto?
There is no difference between the Bike and Moto versions. They are exactly the same locks. The reason why we differentiate them is to show how X1 can be used as an effective security device for all types of bicycles and motorcycles.
What's the difference between X1 and X3?
LITELOK X1 and X3 are both highly resistant to angle grinder cuts. This resistance comes from the layers of Barronium® that each lock features. X3 uses a higher amount of Barronium® meaning it has a higher resistance to angle grinder cuts than X1. X1 has at least 5 times the resistance to angle grinder cuts compared to the best selling U-locks whereas X3 has at least 20 times the resistance.
What is the locking circumference of LITELOK X1?
LITELOK X1 has a full-sized locking circumference of approximately 101 x 196mm meaning you can lock more bikes in more places than other armoured U-locks.
Can I attach LITELOK X1 to my bike?
LITELOK X1 is compatible with our innovative X1 Tactical mount for mounting the lock on your bike frame. The X1 Tactical Mount fits a wide variety of bikes and e-bikes ensuring your LITELOK X1 is held securely even the roughest of terrain.
X1 is also compatible with the Twist & Go mount.
Both of the X1 mounts are sold separately.
Has LITELOK X1 been independently tested?
Yes, it has been thoroughly tested by independent testing bodies Sold Secure and ART. Both locks achieve Sold Secure Powered Cycle and Bicycle Diamond levels (the highest ratings available) and ART4.
(Note: Sold Secure is owned and administered by the Master Locksmiths Association (a not-for-profit trade association) and works from purpose built laboratories in the UK.

What is LITELOK X1 made from?
LITELOK X1 is built with Barronium®, a patent-pending anti-angle grinder material that is applied as a permanently fused composite armour, providing maximum cut resistance and protection from angle grinder attacks. The Barronium® layer repels angle grinder discs.
The X range comprises of three layers of protection:
1. A fine-grain, hardened high-tensile steel core providing inner strength against multiple tool attacks
2. Barronium™ anti-angle grinder armour, permanently fused to the core to repel angle grinder discs
3. A plant-based eco-rubber outer layer is soft to touch, so it won't damage your frame.
What is the warranty?
LITELOK X1 is sold with a 3 year warranty to provide peace of mind and covers mechanical or operational faults through normal usage. The warranty does not cover aesthetic wear and tear. It is important to register your lock and keys with us so that in the event that you lose your keys, replacements can be ordered.

I've used my X1 for 3 years in NYC locking bikes and motorcycles daily in Brooklyn and on 5th avenue overnight. Never had an issue or anything stolen. My only wish is a change from the bio-based rubber, it does tend to get beat up pretty quick, but to its credit it stands up to gasoline and oil from my 2 stroke bikes quite well.
Just bought a 2nd. Any competitors cost and/or weigh more.

The lock doesn’t lie, it gives you real peace of mind. Super comfortable and portable. I also have another lock (the Hiplok D1000), which was the best on the market at the time, but this one feels just as robust and is much more comfortable to attach, carry, etc. Highly recommended.

I do have confidence in this lock. It is very sturdy and strong. It is a bit heavy which I don’t love, but in more dangerous neighbourhoods you need it. The lock holster didn’t fit comfortably anywhere on my ghostcat bike so I’m not planning on using it.
So far I’m pretty pretty happy and would reccomend this lock to someone with a bike or e-bike.
