Can X1 be cut with an angle grinder?
Unfortunately, all locks can be cut with the right tools and enough time. The exact time it takes depends on a number of factors like the power of the angle grinder, the type of discs used and the skill of the user. During our own and independent tests we found that X1 is at least 5 times more angle grinder resistant than the current leading U-lock as well as needing multiple discs to cut it.
How much does LITELOK X1 weigh?
LITELOK X1 weighs approximately 1.7kgs or 3.7lbs.
What's the difference between X1 Bike and X1 Moto?
There is no difference between the Bike and Moto versions. They are exactly the same locks. The reason why we differentiate them is to show how X1 can be used as an effective security device for all types of bicycles and motorcycles.
What's the difference between X1 and X3?
LITELOK X1 and X3 are both highly resistant to angle grinder cuts. This resistance comes from the layers of Barronium® that each lock features. X3 uses a higher amount of Barronium® meaning it has a higher resistance to angle grinder cuts than X1. X1 has at least 5 times the resistance to angle grinder cuts compared to the best selling U-locks whereas X3 has at least 20 times the resistance.
What is the locking circumference of LITELOK X1?
LITELOK X1 has a full-sized locking circumference of approximately 101 x 196mm meaning you can lock more bikes in more places than other armoured U-locks.
Can I attach LITELOK X1 to my bike?
LITELOK X1 is compatible with our innovative X1 Tactical mount for mounting the lock on your bike frame. The X1 Tactical Mount fits a wide variety of bikes and e-bikes ensuring your LITELOK X1 is held securely even the roughest of terrain.
X1 is also compatible with the Twist & Go mount.
Both of the X1 mounts are sold separately.
Has LITELOK X1 been independently tested?
Yes, it has been thoroughly tested by independent testing bodies Sold Secure and ART. Both locks achieve Sold Secure Powered Cycle and Bicycle Diamond levels (the highest ratings available) and ART4.
(Note: Sold Secure is owned and administered by the Master Locksmiths Association (a not-for-profit trade association) and works from purpose built laboratories in the UK.

What is LITELOK X1 made from?
LITELOK X1 is built with Barronium®, a patent-pending anti-angle grinder material that is applied as a permanently fused composite armour, providing maximum cut resistance and protection from angle grinder attacks. The Barronium® layer repels angle grinder discs.
The X range comprises of three layers of protection:
1. A fine-grain, hardened high-tensile steel core providing inner strength against multiple tool attacks
2. Barronium™ anti-angle grinder armour, permanently fused to the core to repel angle grinder discs
3. A plant-based eco-rubber outer layer is soft to touch, so it won't damage your frame.
What is the warranty?
LITELOK X1 is sold with a 3 year warranty to provide peace of mind and covers mechanical or operational faults through normal usage. The warranty does not cover aesthetic wear and tear. It is important to register your lock and keys with us so that in the event that you lose your keys, replacements can be ordered.

J’ai fait l’acquisition de ce cadenas afin de garantir un maximum la sécurité de mon nouveau vélo (Le Petit Porteur longtail). Je cherchais quelque chose de très solide et de pas trop cher et je trouve que ce modèle est un bon compromis entre un cadenas en U d’une autre grande marque et la version la plus coûteuse (et sécurisante) de Litelok. Je dois dire que les stickers réfléchissants sur le cadenas sont un plus non négligeable ainsi que la housse en néoprène qui permet de bien le protéger. Je trouve aussi que le prix est plutôt raisonnable. Je croise les doigts pour qu’il ne soit jamais soumis à une tentative de vol!

Checked a lot of online reviews and the Litelok X1 was consistently a top performer balancing strength with price. Was slightly concerned that my electric bike, Mirider 20, would be too big for this D lock but have found a number of ways to secure the bike with this style lock. I'm a recovering ABUS u-lock owner. After my Granite 540 Lock was cut like soft butter by a battery-powered angle grinder, I decide to splurge and invest in a light lock. X1 very solid product.! Like other uses. However, I've noticed that the cylinder lock mechanism can be a little finicky, where the key does not fit all the way into the cylinder without some jiggling. I'm hoping this will get easier over time. Nonetheless, I feel much more confident leaving my bike in high security situations without the fear that it will be easily cut with a battery powered angle grinder.

Es ist schwer, die eierlegende Wollmilchsau zu finden, wenn es um die Kriterien (Gewicht, Preis, Sicherheit, Optik, etc) für das richtige Fahrradschloss geht. Hier ist es: Litelock X1. Das Schloss fühlt sich sehr wertig an und gib mir ein gutes Gefühl, wenn ich mein neues Gravel Bike irgendwo anschließe. Kritisch sind für mich nur Kleinigkeiten: die Schlüssel sind recht scharfkantig und die reflektierenden Streifen sind nur aufgeklebt und lösen sich bereits etwas. Der Schlüssel muss sehr exakt gesteckt werden, das war zu Beginn etwas fummelig. Auch der Bügel muss ganz exakt auf den Bolzen gesetzt werden, sonst kann man ihn nicht einschieben. Braucht etwas Übung aber all’ das tut dem Ganzen keinen Abbruch. Ich bin ganz froh, ein so gut getestetes Schloss zu haben und hoffe nie die Erfahrung machen zu müssen, dass jemand Trennscheiben dran ausprobiert.😁

I recently purchased this new lock after a bizarre incident where my Arbus lock disappeared entirely, yet the bike was retrieved was a flat tyre but otherwise unharmed.
I am reassured by its anti angle-grinder qualities. It feels reassuring solid and robust and so far I have locked my bike with it at Cambridge railway station (notorious for bike theft) was considerably more peace of mind than in the past. I love the addition of reflectors on the lock- looks super smart. The mounting system has taken a little getting used to, but is getting more efficient as I get used to it. The advantage from my old Arbus is that it mounts in a way that does not get in the way of my pannier bag on both sides of the bike.
The Litelok is more expensive than my previous locks, but I think it’s worth it for the robustness and peace of mind.

I have this set up on the back side of a stepthru ebike and doesn’t move when I cycle on paved roads. Rating is not a 5 because I find that this lock is too short for a fat tire ebike to lock onto a bike rack, needing an additional chain lock.
