We spoke to Andrew, RCT rider and founder! you can visit the RCT stand at the Scottish Bike Show in Ingliston in March from the 16th to the 17th 2024.
As part of their raffle during the event you can be in with a chance of winning a Litelok X1!
They will be raising funds at the event in order to buy wreaths for when they supply motorcycle funeral escorts for departed veterans, as well as welfare supplies, and emergency clothing and food.
Here's a little inside of RCT and Andrew -
Tell us a little about The RCT Riders?
The RCT Riders branch was founded some 8 years ago by myself when I queried why the largest corps in the British Army didn't have a motorcycle group. It was after all a pre requisite for those seeking promotion to hold a bike licence. After a year I approached our Corps association asking for permission to form a branch and we now have 10% of the total association members.

How and when did you get into riding?
1986 as part of my driver training for the Army.
What are the best and worst things about riding?
Best - The freedom it brings and the camaraderie you feel.
Worst - The bugs. The bugs! lol.
Tell us about your most memorable ride to date?
Recently undertook the Saltire Challenge. Similar to the Legions Iron Butt Challenge where you ride a 1000 miles in 24 hours. Ours covered the 4 corners of Scotland whilst not using the same road twice. I covered 1077 miles in 23 hours 40 mins.
What’s the best piece of riding advice you’ve ever been given?
Never ride faster than your guardian angel can fly and never give in to peer pressure and ride outside your own capabilities.
What do you bring with you on every ride?
Phone charger, cash. Dry socks.
Share your best tips to help others keep their bikes safe
Open your eyes and don't take risks.
What kit do you recommend?
Anything that you're comfortable in. I use anything with Gore-Tex in.
What’s on your riding bucket list?
Was planning on doing Route 66 but the NC500 looks good. RTTW (Ride To The Wall) every year is always brilliant.
