LITELOK X3 is armoured with Barronium®, a patent pending composite material that resists angle grinder attack by turning the grinder's energy and force in on itself. It offers at least 15 times more resistance than the best-selling D-locks without adding any extra weight. It is permanently fused to a hardened fine-grain high-tensile steel core which provides protection against all other commonly used tools such as bolt croppers, cable cutters, long bars, hammers & chisels and -40°C freeze spray.
LITELOK X3 offers at least six time the security performance of the most heavy-duty chains yet weighs only 2.1kg and is easily carried in a rucksack, stored in your panniers or strapped to your rack.

Can X3 be cut with an angle grinder?
Unfortunately, all locks can be cut with the right tools and enough time. The exact time it takes depends on a number of factors like the power of the angle grinder, the type of discs used and the skill of the user. During our own and independent tests we found that X3 is at least 20 times more angle grinder resistant than the current leading d-lock as well as needing multiple discs and batteries to cut it.
How much does LITELOK X3 weigh?
LITELOK X3 weighs approximately 2.1kgs or 4.6lbs.
What's the difference between X3 Bike and X3 Moto?
There is no difference between the Bike and Moto versions. They are exactly the same locks. The reason why we differentiate them is to show how X3 can be used as an effective security device for all types of bicycles and motorcycles.
What's the difference between X1 and X3?
LITELOK X1 and X3 are both highly resistant to angle grinder cuts. This resistance comes from the layers of Barronium® that each lock features. X3 uses a greater amount of Barronium® meaning it has a higher resistance to angle grinder cuts than X1. X1 has at least 5 times the resistance to angle grinder cuts compared to the best selling d-locks whereas X3 has at least 20 times the resistance.
What is the locking circumference of LITELOK X3?
LITELOK X3 has a full-sized locking circumference of approximately 100 x 195mm.
Has LITELOK X3 been independently tested?
Yes, it has been thoroughly tested by Sold Secure and both locks achieve Sold Secure Powered Cycle and Pedal Cycle Diamond levels (the highest ratings available). It has also been tested by ART, and certified ART4.
(Note: Sold Secure is owned and administered by the Master Locksmiths Association (a not-for-profit trade association) and works from purpose built laboratories in the UK.

What is LITELOK X3 made from?
LITELOK X3 is built with Barronium®, a patent-pending anti-angle grinder material that is applied as a permanently fused composite armour, providing maximum cut resistance and protection from angle grinder attacks. The Barronium® layer repels angle grinder discs.
The X range comprises of three layers of protection:
1. A fine-grain, hardened high-tensile steel core providing inner strength against multiple tool attacks
2. Barronium® anti-angle grinder armour, permanently fused to the core to repel angle grinder discs
3. A plant-based eco-rubber outer layer is soft to touch, so it won't damage your frame.
What is the warranty?
LITELOK X3 is sold with a 7-year warranty to provide peace of mind and covers mechanical or operational faults through normal usage. The warranty does not cover aesthetic wear and tear. It is important to register your lock and keys with us so that in the event that you lose your keys, replacements can be ordered.

What a fabulous lock, it’s a little heavy however reassuringly so. I combined mine with a 25mm Pragmasis chain and so far it’s done the job and make me feel confident my bike will still be where I left it when I get back.

It's a hefty bit of kit, so more motorbike than bicycle - unless in you're in London! I'm impressed with the standard of engineering in manufacture - there's no slack in the joins and the lock turns smoothly: it all feels like a really high quality product with tight tolerances.
I use it in the front hub of a GS and slots in perfectly. I think an extra cm or 2 in width and length would open up a bigger market to go over more front wheels, but that's possibly a X3+ idea.
Never had it tested in anger thankfully, so can't comment on effectiveness, but it's the ultimate step up as part of a security toolkit. It's a bit big for popping to the shops, but will get used if the bike is overnight on the street when away from home. It's not cheap, but it is value for peace of mind and it's still only half my insurance excess.

Bought to secure my R1250GS. I pass the lock through the front fork caliper mount and when the wheel is positioned correctly, the lock just fits snuggly.
The only reason the review is not 100%, is that the plastic outer covering on the shackle seems quite soft and easily marks. Within a few uses it looks rather second hand. Other than that it does what it says on the tin. I would recommend it to anyone.

It's reassuringly of chunky design.
This is both good and bad. Good solid construction, however it's large dimensions mean it doesn't work on all motorcycle wheels with abs rings.
